I am an interdisciplinary artist based in Richmond, Virginia, and a recent graduate from VCU with a BFA in Painting and Printmaking.
My practice bridges calligraphy, abstraction, and design, rooted in a lifelong fascination with letterforms and mark-making. Originally trained in graphic design, I returned to school after a two-year hiatus to explore how my abstract calligraphic methods could translate into painting. My work is process-driven, embracing illegibility and non-linear thinking as a celebration of what isn’t immediately understood. Post-graduation, I aim to further investigate the intersections of design, calligraphy, abstraction, and painting, continuing to develop an introspective and experimental
approach to art-making.
