Cory Caulfield (she/her) is a Richmond based artist, and a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in Painting & Printmaking, and a minor in Art History.
For years her artwork has largely consisted of realism in painting, however since studying at VCU, she has wholeheartedly started to explore abstraction, the idea of the multiple, and become smitten with printmaking, especially screen printing. Having always dreamed of earning a degree in the arts, she finds the opportunity to study at VCU exhilarating and strives to soak up as much knowledge as possible while also engaging in the larger Richmond arts community. After completing her BFA, she plans on earning an MFA in Painting & Printmaking. While studying at VCU, she has participated in numerous juried shows, been awarded several merit-based scholarships, and is an active member in three on-campus honor societies.
