SURFACES highlights the tactile, intimate nature of art, inviting viewers to engage deeply with texture, structure, and visual perception. The exhibition investigates the material properties and expressive possibilities of both physical & visual surfaces through a wide variety of media, including sewn textiles, shaped canvases, embroidered leaves, painted inks, molded mediums, and carved woods.
By embracing unconventional methods and pushing the limits of their chosen materials, the artists in this exhibition challenge traditional distinctions between media like sculpture, painting, and craft.
