This work originates from the concept of tessellation, using repeated modular units that are expanded into a three-dimensional sculptural form.
Rather than following a strict geometric order, the modules are organically connected, forming a dense structure that resembles the protective skin of a living organism. The combination of sharp edges and a smooth glazed surface creates a subtle contrast, evoking both vulnerability and defense. While the form may appear delicate, it is structurally solid and carefully bonded, revealing quiet strength beneath its fragile appearance.
Tender Defense transforms a systematic pattern into a sculptural presence, reflecting instinct, resilience, and the quiet act of self-protection.
