Anna Perdue is a Richmond–based artist and recent graduate of VCU’s Painting + Printmaking program.
Working primarily in oil paint and textured media, her practice explores the weirdness of embodied life and the unstable frameworks we use to make sense of it. Drawing from religious studies, queer theory, science fiction, nature, and geometry, she creates vivid environments that balance playfulness and unease. Perdue is the recipient of the Powell-Edwards Award for Distinguished Work in Spirituality and the Arts, and has been a featured artist in local businesses around Richmond.
