As a fraternal twin Oona focuses on symmetry and its lack, emphasizing form and texture to create wearable works and handheld objects.
She focuses on having a sustainable practice, often using recycled metal and adding onto existing items. Oona received a BFA in Craft/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University. She has participated in Radical Jewelry Makeover installments and has been in the internationally juried exhibition So Fresh + So Clean, organized by Ethical Metalsmiths. In addition to her artistic pursuits, Oona was involved in VCU’s undergraduate research program for three years. She is from Baltimore MD and currently lives and works in Richmond, VA.
