Carson Parris was born in New York City, New York, in 1993.
She is a visual artist based in Richmond, VA, where she received her BFA in Photography and Film from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Her current practice focuses on reintegrating the body into her work by exploring the sky through materiality. Parris uses her background in photography and painting to examine the boundaries of the image, oscillating between abstraction and form.
