Angelina Snow-Reyes

I am a passionate first-generation hispanic artist withal a MFA in Sculpture from VCU, I am driven by an affinity for decorative arts, flora, fauna, and material exploration.
My practice intersects botany, taxidermy, and sculpture, capturing organic matter in states of decay and disarray. I focus on Virginia's diverse species, merging horticulture and art through intimate connections with nature; weaving the delicacies of nature into representational pieces. I work with clay, and exclusively reclaimed textiles, intending to honor the fragile yet dynamic systems we inhabit. I live in Richmond, Virginia currently with an internship for George Ferrandi’s Jump!Star project.
