Marissa Voytenko

Marissa Voytenko explores the relationship between the physical world and the spiritual realm, using geometric shapes and patterns.

Her encaustic paintings and relief sculpture draw from historical architecture to explore the theme of the spiritual journey. Voytenko earned her BA in Art from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, and Master of Fine Art in Studio Teaching from Boston University in Boston, MA. The artist has exhibited with the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art (Chicago), the Dow Museum of Science and Art (Midland, MI), and the Primus Gallery (L'viv, Ukraine). Her work has been featured on the cover of the American Psychologist (2017, 2022) and highlighted in Luxe magazine (2024). Voytenko currently lives and works in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
