Born in Richmond and now living in Arlington, VA, Alexandra Chiou explores healing & transformation through sculptural paper compositions. Her work involves carving hundreds—sometimes thousands—of precise knife cuts into painted paper. Her work is many public collections including the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, and the US Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
